One thing many dropped kerb installers don't tell you is that the installation cost is often only part of the overall expense.

While some companies may quote solely for the construction work, there can be several additional costs involved in obtaining a new vehicle access. We believe in being completely transparent from the very beginning, even if that means some customers decide not to proceed.

Currently, Suffolk County Council charges £225 for a pre-application assessment, followed by a further £225 application fee if your dropped kerb is approved. These fees are payable directly to the council and are separate from the installation costs.

Before you spend any money on an application, we'll visit your property and provide honest, practical advice on the likelihood of approval. We will only recommend proceeding with an application if we believe there is a strong chance of success.

To make the process as simple as possible, we will even complete the council application paperwork on your behalf free of charge. From the initial enquiry through to final approval and installation, we work directly with both you and the council, helping to remove the stress, confusion and paperwork often associated with the process.

Most importantly, we do not require any upfront payments for our installation work. You only pay us once the work has been completed to the agreed specification, giving you complete peace of mind and confidence in the service we provide.
